I had a small stained glass window in my bedroom which was cracked and needed repair, however it also let in a heap of light from the neighbours security light and as it is above my bed I could also feel the cold coming in. I decided to remove the windows and replace it with a plywood back, insulation in the center, and then create a nice peice of artwork for the inner side.
